The best method is to hand wash all your lingerie in cold water, using a mild detergent. Hot water could shrink your lingerie in size, especially satin lingerie, and regular detergent could contain harsh compound that can damage your lingerie.

 

Remember to fasten any snaps, clasps or buttons, to avoid tearing of the delicate material.

 

Exercise caution when washing your lingerie; rub your lingerie gently when washing to avoid damage to the delicate detail.

 

Do not place your lingerie in the dryer! The heat of the dryer can break down the elastic material of your lingerie and could shrink your lingerie.

 

Do not wring your lingerie, as it may result in wrinkles and creases that may be difficult to straighten. Instead, place your lingerie between two clean towels to gently squeeze out the excess water.

 

Line dry or drip dry your lingerie and keep them away from sunlight to prevent the colors from fading. Silk lingerie should be dried flat.
